2026: YOU ARE A WARRIOR!

“Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning hooks into spears; let the weak say, I am a warrior.” (Joel 3:10).

We are living in times of war; planet earth is a war zone! It’s time to say: “I am a warrior.”

“For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12).

I’m talking about spiritual warfare; confusion, chaos, violence, hatred, lawlessness, rebellion, deception, oppression. This is being manifested clearly in the nations, from Nigeria’s slaughter of Christians to the violent demonstrations in the streets of Minneapolis, to the crisis in Iran. Clearly the forces of evil are at work, but God has the solution: You! Me! Us! The same anointing of Jesus is upon us:

“The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8b).

The good news is that at the Cross Jesus has already defeated the devil by the power of His blood! (Colossians 2:15). The enemy is alive but defeated! We are here to execute the victory of Calvary and push back the forces of darkness, not just to sit on the pew! The ekklesia is here for this purpose, to extend God’s Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, to destroy the works of the devil, to enforce the victory of Calvary until Jesus’ return.

We, God’s people, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and baptized in the dunamis power of the Holy Spirit, we are the answer to stop these evils! Where there is sickness and disease, we release healing; where there is depression and lack of vision, we prophesy; Where there is confusion, a word of knowledge will expose the root of the problem! Where there is a great need that is humanly impossible to meet, we have the gift of the working of miracles. The ekklesia is empowered with the keys of the kingdom to bind the evil, the corruption, the injustices in our nations and to loose the kingdom. We are heaven’s legislative branch on earth! We represent a King and a Kingdom and we are to bring the nations to Jesus!

The serpent was cursed by the Lord after man’s fall to crawl on his belly and eat dust:

“…upon your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life.” (Genesis 3:14b).

That’s where we need to keep the enemy, under our feet! (Luke 10:19). Instead, why do we see his influence everywhere? In government, in education, in big pharma, in families, in churches, in every institution! Part of the reason it’s because of the passivity, the spectator mentality so rampant in the Church! We are an army, not an audience! Instead of warring, we fret, instead of taking action we grumble and complain!

We need to go on the offensive against the enemy; we are to be spiritually aggressive against the enemy of our souls that comes to steal, kill and destroy. To accomplish this, the Lord has delegated His authority (Luke 10:19) to us and empowered us with dunamis power (Acts 1:8). We lack nothing! Until Jesus comes back, we are the ones with the authority to stop our defeated foe!

Towards the end of December, 2025 on a Friday , suddenly, my good friend called me anxiously asking me to pray. Her husband had fallen off his chair and was not responding. When the rescue came he was blue, not breathing, no pulse. But we took authority in the name of Jesus over the spirit of death, commanded the enemy in the name of Jesus to release him and asked Holy Spirit to come in power. We called him back to life and prayed in the heavenly language quite a bit. On the way to the hospital he died several times and kept coming back. On arrival in the hospital, he was fully alive. Doctors checked his heart and found a clogged artery. A stent was placed in his heart and he is totally alive! On Monday he was back home!

The Lord said, “a preview of things to come.” Yes, in 2026 the church needs to awaken to the truth that we are a people with authority and power to destroy the works of the devil! Nothing will be impossible for us! (Matthew 17:20b).

Put on your armor (Ephesians 6:13-18), apply the blood of Jesus (Exodus 12:7), use your spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:7-10), release the Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17), praise and worship (Psalm 149), bind and loose (Matthew 16: 19), decree and declare (Job 22:28), use the name of Jesus (Philippians 2:9-11). Use your weapons! We were created to be champions, to be world changers, to cut off the head of the giants!

“Do not be afraid…remember the Lord who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.” (Nehemiah 4:14b).

Let’s pray:

“Father we thank because in Your eternal wisdom You created us for such a time as this. We realize this is a time of war, and we ask Holy Spirit for a fresh, new warrior anointing to push back the darkness and execute the victory of Calvary in our midst. We will put on our armor and use the spiritual weapons to defeat the enemy. We tear down every stronghold of passivity and fear in Jesus’ name and ask the Holy Spirit to give us the boldness of a lion, never to retreat, always moving forward. I decree and declare today and always that “I am a warrior!”
