COMBAT READY!
“I have come to cast fire upon the earth; and how I wish it were already kindled!” (Luke 12:49).
I believe we are living in a time when the Lord is raising “sons and daughters of fire,” who will spread fresh fire through the preaching and demonstration of God’s Kingdom. The Lord is raising up an army that is combat ready, bold and courageous to destroy the works of the devil. We are living in times of great spiritual warfare; therefore, we cannot stay trapped in confusion, the fear of man, passivity and the spectator mentality; we must rise up and enforce the victory of calvary over every situation that is not aligned with heaven. We are living in times of Isaiah 5:20, where good is called evil, and evil is called good.
“…but the people that know their God shall stand firm and take action.” (Daniel 11:32b).
The story of the prophet Elijah confronting the false prophets on top of Mount Carmel (1 Kings 18), is a prototype of what we can expect in the coming days: a confrontation between good and evil, truth and deception, clarity and confusion. Israel was in a backslidden state; led by Queen Jezebel, the people were worshiping false deities, sacrificing their children to the demons, and engaging in perversion. Very much like America today! We are living in times where lies, deception, propaganda, brainwashing are rampant; they come from many diverse sources; media, government, big pharma, education, even churches! The enemy is at work from the schoolhouse to the Whitehouse! Abortion, LGBT, transgender, transhumanism, CRT, marxism, globalism, the woke agenda, fueled by an anti-Christ spirit, have infiltrated every area of society. Pornography is an epidemic, poisoning minds, opening the doors to demons to destroy lives, marriages, families. Jesus says,
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10).
The prophet Elijah confronted the people and said,
“How long will you go limping with two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” And the people did not answer him a word.” (1 Kings 18:21).
Many Christians today are just as confused, double-minded, sitting on the fence, like the Israelites at the time of Elijah. They have no conviction of what’s right or wrong, no revelation, no passion for Jesus, gripped with the fear of man and a people pleasing spirit. No boldness! No courage! That is not the Spirit we have received as Christians!
“….for God did not give us a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power and love and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7).
What happened on top of Mount Carmel? One man, totally sold out to the Lord, confronted 850 false prophets with great courage and boldness! The Prophet Elijah
demonstrated by FIRE who the true God was. After this powerful display of God’s power and glory fire, the confused, double-minded people finally realized who the true God was:
“And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, The Lord, he is God; the Lord, he is God.” (1 Kings 18: 39).
What is the Holy Spirit up to today? Are we listening to what He is saying to the Church at this moment?
I believe the Holy Spirit is saying to the Church to wake up and take our positions as the army of the living God. Jesus is the Lord of Hosts, Commander of the Angel Armies; He is leading us into battle and giving us the strategies for victory. The Holy Spirit gives us everything we need for victory and breakthrough in the midst of the chaos we are living in. Demonstrations of Holy Spirit fire will start taking place; the Lord is raising up “sons and daughters of fire” who are combat ready and ready to confront the forces of darkness.
Everything is at stake! The destiny of our nation is at stake! What are we leaving behind for our children and future generations? I say it’s time to step up to the plate; we are the ekklesia, God’s governing body on earth. We have the authority, the keys to the Kingdom to bind and loose, to decree and declare God’s will into every situation that is not aligned with heaven. We have dunamis power and every gift of the Holy Spirit is within us. You are that person the Lord has chosen to confront the forces of evil, just like the Prophet Elijah!
Let’s pray: “Father, I want to be combat ready. Lord Jesus, release in me a fiery boldness and courage to confront the forces of darkness. I want to be totally sold out to You. Let every trace of fear be dissolved, destroyed and gone in Jesus’ name! Release fresh fire in my belly; I want to be ignited with passion for You. Baptize me now with a fresh baptism of Holy Spirit and fire. Make me unstoppable!”
