IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP.
I believe our precious Holy Spirit is moving, flowing, intervening, breathing His breath and releasing fresh fire upon the people of God, to wake them up at this crucial time in the history of the human race. Because the Holy Spirit doesn’t do anything on this planet by Himself, he looks for human beings that will say YES to Him and partner with Him. (2 Corinthians 6:1). Generally speaking, most believers are asleep in the pew of the Church and not understanding that the Lord has a unique and important plan for their lives. God’s plan is not only an individual plan meant to bless that person, but it is also a plan that is meant to release His kingdom on earth to impact and bless the nations. Papa loves the nations! He created them! That’s why Jesus says, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations¦. (Matthew 28:18-19).
Going to the nations is normal Christian life. No excuses please! How can the Lord take people to the nations when most don’t even go to their next door neighbor to tell them about Jesus! This year is the year to wake out of the stupor and leave behind the lies of the devil that have kept God’s people trapped in pits of fear, shame, guilt, condemnation, or political correctness. Whatever has kept you trapped on the sidelines, go to the Cross and receive freedom, forgiveness and joy to carry out what the Lord wants. Get filled with the Holy Spirit and receive His empowerment to proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom with miracles, signs and wonders. (Luke 24:49; 1 Corinthians 4:20).
Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light. (Ephesians 5:14).
Brothers and sisters, we are the solution to the darkness that is rampant around us! Don’t look to the world for answers. We are the light of the world! (Matthew 5:14). The kingdom of God is within us! (Luke 17:21). We carry the Glory! (Colossians 1:27). The Spirit of God will help you and back you up as you take steps of faith to make Jesus known and loved. (Mark 16:20). If we don’t do it, who will? If we don’t do it now, when?
What’s the big deal? There is no salvation apart from JESUS! We are talking about peoples’ lives and eternal destinies. People perish because of ignorance; people perish because God’s people are not stepping up to the plate and doing what He has commanded us, which is to proclaim and demonstrate the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15). A sleepy, complacent, lukewarm Church does not impact or change the nation that we are living in. I say it’s time to wake up!
All the nations thou hast made shall come and bow down before thee, O Lord, and shall glorify thy name. (Psalm 86:9).
How will our nations come and worship the Lord Jesus? Through you and me, as we wake up, rise and carry the good news to the ends of the earth!! This could be the greatest time of the Church if we just wake up!
Let’s pray: Father, in Jesus’ name I come before you, humbling myself before you. I need your grace and power to live for you, to put Your kingdom first in my life. Forgive me Lord, for allowing fear, shame, etc. to control my life. Forgive me for wanting to be politically correct. I need your Holy Spirit. Baptize me, Jesus, with Your Holy Spirit and fire so that I can rise up in Your power to proclaim the good news everywhere I go. I want to be a world changer; I want my nation to come to You, Lord. Amen.
